Canada decides to admit a million Immigrants in next three years

Ahmed Hussen, Canadian Immigration Minister stated tabling the bill in the House of Commons that by the year 2036 all population growth in Canada is going to happen owing to immigration. Presently, it is 75 percent.
Canada has decided to admit nearly one million immigrants in the ensuing three years. A multi-year strategy was scheduled by the government for immigration indicating a major ambitious level in recent history.
The proposed immigration level declared year wise is 310,000 for 2018, 330,000 for 2019 and 340,000 for 2020. Specific targets for economic migrants, refugees and family members have been announced.
These new targets will result in an increase in the ratio of immigrants and help it to reach a healthy one percent of the total population by 2020. This will majorly help to offset an ageing demography. The plan is really historic in nature, responsible for its causes and highly ambitious.

UK Tier 2 Visa certificates of sponsorship - October allocations is 1,879

In the UK Tier 2 Visa allocation meeting, held on 11th September 2017, the Certificates of Sponsorship, available for issuing, in October 2017 were 1,879.
The department for UK Visas and Immigration said in its September Report that the figures were corrected as of 15th Sep 2017.
An employer possessing UK Tier 2 Visa license has to apply for Sponsorship Certificates for immigrants to be employed. Under the current immigration system, unused UK Tier 2 Certificates of Sponsorship, which were granted to employ people currently based out of the UK, are subject to reclamation after three months. This increases their availability.
All valid applications submitted on or before 5th September, were successful when the score was 21 points.

Indian Students show impressive growth in US Universities

China has achieved the top spot in the figure of students arriving in the USA to pursue higher studies annually. India occupies the next spot as per the statement of an official of USIEF.
Statistics revealed that Indians occupies the second place behind Chinese. The figures of the previous academic year showed that there were 1,66,000 students from India who chose to study in the United States. China had a strength of 3,20,000 students, in the words of Jamie Dragon, US Consulate General, and Director of the American Centre.
China had gone beyond India in 2011 and there was a gap between Indians and Chinese students studying in the United States which kept increasing.
The students from Kolkata opting for studying in the United States every year were less in numbers when compared to the students belonging to New Delhi and Mumbai.
He added that the figure of the number of students reaching the US during the present academic session would be released soon.

Donald Trump introduces an immigration plan benefiting Indian professionals

President Trump has embarked on a system which calls for merit-based immigration that would serve national interests. It is likely to benefit Indian workers with high skilled but a clause prevents the sponsoring of their families.
