XPath or XML Path Language is a query language which is used to select node from XML web document. XML Path Language may be used to compute values like: strings, numbers etc. from an XML document. XML Path Language represents XML document as tree, also provides the features to navigate around the tree and selecting nodes by a variety of criteria from XML document. XPath has been used to a number of XML dispensation libraries and apparatus. Now XPath 1.0 and XPath 2.0 these two versions of XML Path Language is using by many web design and web application development firms. XPath is still in development mode and in future it will boost web development.
